Gary Cook

Guitar & Lead Vocals

Born May 25th, Gary began playing the guitar at the age of 10.  Growing up, Gary's Grandfather was an exceptional violinist, and his parents exposed him to a wealth of music, encouraging and influencing his appreciation for music.  Although everything Gary listens to influences his musical talent in some way, some of his favorites are Johnny Winters, Lesley West, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Lang and Carlos Santana.  Being born  in West Virginia, it was there that Gary developed his musical tastes and interests, experimenting with traditional country and moving on to rock 'n roll and blues.  After realizing that making music was his main goal, Gary began to showcase his talent in various venues across the United States and became a popular local hit in the Michigan/Ohio music scene.  To date Gary has two recordings to his credit, including the 1990's CD release from his former band "Stallion."

Gary's combination of guitar playing and unique vocals, with a rhythmic undercurrent that bears testament to his southern rock bluesy style of playing, all contribute to make Lunatic Fringe one of the premier cover bands in Southern Michigan, Northern Indiana.
